About Joyce Robinson
Biography
Joyce has been a handbag designer for the past
6 years. She uses recycled brown paper bags as
her canvas to create handbags that are fashionable and durable.
As a child the brown paper bags were used for many things, as
well as her mother using them to create costumes for school
plays. With that in mind, Joyce put her imagination to work,
from gift bags, to creating bags using home décor fabric and
ethnic fabrics, making each bag a thing of artistic beauty
capturing her wild imagination. Each bag is one of-a- kind
designed to fit ones’ individual personality and choice of
style.
The importance of Joyce’s art form and design is always being
mindful of the eco-friendly
material used in her creations. She feels that no bag needs to
go to waste, large, medium or
small; each bag can be used and designed into a thing of beauty.
Before moving to Union City, Ga. 2003, Joyce was a music teacher
in the public schools of
Virginia, Washington, DC and the last 29 years in the Buffalo
Public Schools from where she
retired.
